I’m Mel. As an international real estate broker and a Colombian-American with a family lineage rooted in generations of coffee production, I grew up with a deep connection to the land. But for decades, I lived a life of “proving.” I checked every box for the industry, my community, and the culture that raised me—trying to show I was enough, only to realize none of it mattered if I wasn’t actually happy.
My journey to freedom wasn’t a straight line. In 2016, I tried to leave the U.S. and failed. Even with my real estate background and my part in our family investments abroad, I wasn’t ready. I carried that regret for years, and it wasn’t until 2022 that I finally allowed myself to take the dream seriously again.
This time, I didn’t just “hope”—I prepared. I realized I had overthought the wrong details while missing the ones that actually mattered. In September 2026, I finally made the move on my own terms.
Today, I use my professional expertise, my family heritage, and my own “failed” attempts to help you realign your work, your values, and your voice.
